I think I'm ready to start meeting other Mohos in Salt Lake City, where I live now. If you're interested, let me know.  I would prefer to only meet guys under 40 - but I might make an exception.

I'd be happy to meet you for lunch or something--you know how to contact me, I think?

so- what exactly is your motive to keep it to guys under 40? If I may be so bold. . .

If you are ready--then you need support. You need friends who have walked the path, or are walking it. Meaning, I really encourage you to get to know people. Keep it as friends, while you sort through this stuff.

I'm in the same place, hoping to meet some of you in person at some point. Being in Utah, you'll have that opportunity much more easily.

What's wrong with wanting to make friends close to my own age who I can hang out with, go to lunch or to a movie? It's just more difficult to relate to guys who are too much older than me. 40 is not an absolute requirement, just a benchmark. I just have a hard time relating to guys who are much older than me - always have. In fact, older men really make me nervous. I don't know if it's an authority thing, or a dad thing, or whatever, I've just never been at ease around older men. It just seems weird to me to go to a movie or just hang with a guy more than two or three years older than me. I would also feel strange having a close friend more than five or six years YOUNGER than me, if that helps at all. I'm just much more comfortable around guys my same age or younger. Sorry if I offended anyone, it wasn't my intent.
